Rebel Saints Meditation Society
Since 2016.
At Rebel Saints Meditation Society we practice and teach a meditation practice developed from the oldest meditation teachings of the Buddha and a method of living that allows us to stop causing suffering, and improves our ability to act in ways that cause less pain. The Rebel Saints meditation and ethical practices help us to discover and to live the virtues of kindness, compassion, forgiveness, generosity, humility, unity and equanimity. These are the virtues common to the great spiritual traditions. The Buddha, the Stoics and the western enlightenment thinkers all recognize and aspire to practice these principles as the direct route out of needless suffering to happiness, purpose and meaning.
We offer daily meditation practice online, a weekly live talk+meditation with Rachael Savage, and residential silent meditation retreats, special talks and workshops around the United States.
Rebel Saints is organized as a model of how we can participate in civilized society. Operating in the classic traditions of inquiry, equality, and meritocracy, we welcome all who are interested. We practice together without regard to race, gender and sexuality and regardless of your political or religious beliefs.
