Welcome (or Welcome Back) to Rebel Saints Meditation Society Silent Retreat practice…
Silent retreat practice gives us the opportunity to spend time away from our daily life and responsibilities and focus on deepening our understanding and experience of meditation through intensive practice. On retreat we practice mindfulness in sitting meditation, walking meditation and in all the moments in between. Our retreat schedule will include meditation instruction, sitting and walking meditations, plus talks and opportunities to meet with the teacher.
This meditation retreat will be held in Noble Silence. To support the development of a collected and settled mind, this retreat including meals will be held without ordinary social conversation. Your teacher will discuss the practice of Noble Silence.
Rachael Savage of Rebel Saints will be leading this retreat. The focus of this retreat will be on the practice of metta or kindness. The goal of our practice is to stop making life harder than it needs to be. On this retreat we will see if learning about and practicing kindness can help us live with more happiness.
